The BLADE Network Technologies’ RackSwitch™ G8052 is 1 and 10G Ethernet switch specifically designed for the data center, providing speed, intelligence and interoperability on a proven platform. The RackSwitch G8052 offers 48 Gigabit Ethernet ports and four 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports in a 1 RU footprint. Designed with top performance in mind, the RackSwitch G8052 provides line-rate, high-bandwidth switching, filtering, and traffic queuing without delaying data, and large data-center grade buffers to keep traffic moving.
The RackSwitch G8052 is built on a single-ASIC design for latency less than 2 microseconds. On-switch VMready™ software enables intelligent network tracking of virtual machines as they migrate across physical servers, providing matching movement of VLAN assignments, ACLs, and other networking and security settings.

Unlike most rack equipment that cools from side to side, the RackSwitch G8052 has front-to-rear or rear-to-front airflow which allows for flexible mounting of the switch in a server rack or datacom rack.

Simplified configuration with industry standard (Cisco®-like) ISCLI. Seamless, standards-based integration into existing Cisco and other networks reduces downtime and learning curve.
Network Virtualization - VMready™ software on the switch simplifies configuration and improves security in virtualized environments. VMready automatically detects VM movement between physical servers, and reconfigures VM network policies across VLANs to keep the network up and running without impacting traffic or performance. Works with all leading VM providers such as VMware, Citrix Xen, and Microsoft.
