The Cisco ASA CSC-SSM (Content Security and Content Security Services Module) enhances the base ASA appliance with protection from viruses, malware, spyware, spam and phishing. The CSC-SSM module also provides URL filtering capabilities to control Internet resources. The CSC-CSSM module is available with new Cisco ASA hardware as part of the content security bundle or as a standalone card to upgrade existing Cisco ASA appliances.
Intrusion Prevention System Edition
The Cisco ASA (AIP-SSM) Advanced Inspection and Prevention Security Services Module and Security Services Card (AIP-SSC) provides a full set of intrusion prevention services (IPS) to prevent malicious traffic from entering your network. The AIP-SSM module is available with new Cisco ASA hardware as part of the content security bundle or as a standalone card to upgrade existing Cisco ASA appliances.
SSL / IPsec Edition
The Cisco ASA 5500 SSL / IPsec Edition enabled your organisation to leverage both SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) and IPsec (IP Security) VPN services. These technologies provide remote connectivity between company offices, partners and remote/home workers. A wide range of connectivity options are supported from portal based client, and clientless access, to standard VPN client or CLI initiated modes. Security features ensure that threats from VPN connections is sufficiently mitigated.
